My wife is freaking awesome!

The wife let me trade the minivan for a screaming red pseudo-hotrod. How cool is that? Love you Janel!

For those new to the story - when baby-girl the younger, joined the family we traded the audi S4 for a Honda Odyssey and I've been fairly morose ever since. Not that I had to drive a minivan; I wasn't concerned about that, but I was surrounded in hard plastic and the thing wouldn't get out of it's own way without judicious use of the throttle and that resulted in horrendous mileage around town. We don't really need that much space, and having a fun-to-drive factor is imortant to me.

There are in fact four doors on that thing, and if you look closely next to the Honda emblem, you can just make out the "Si". Yeah! So much fun to drive, sweet gearbox, fun noises. I'm so stinkin' delighted. If you look even more closely, it seems Janel is almost as pleased as I am. Know what? She's happy cuz I'm happy. I married well.

My father-in-law razzed me about getting such a 'tiny' car, but when he saw it he decided it was bigger than he expected and it was 'nice'. Honestly, it makes me feel much better about the deal having him not disapprove.

The first post ever. What I want to know is, can I post videos of the kids here? seems unlikely, although I may at least be able to use the space to remind all of new postings elsewhere. I must be getting old cuz YouTube has confused me.

It's probabaly just YouTube's fault.


Vote Ron Paul - seriously, given the opportunity to vote for someone who at least outwardly seems to be making an effort to say the proper things, how could one in good conscience vote for one of the other 'standard' politicians? I understand it's just as much a popularity contest as was the homecoming king/queen, but i think maybe we should take it a little more seriously. What did you pay for milk this week? $4.19/gallon at my nearby grocery.

Anyway - seems as tho, yes I can post video here. You guys are in trouble. There will be no end of me.

This is Christina being assaulted by her mother, we got a couple of giggles from her. She's quite a smiley kid, but she hasn't much laughed yet. Considering that this point of parenting is not much more than babysitting - and the kids parents AREN'T coming back - giggles and smiles make the soupy diapers and 2am feedings rewarding
